Description

Effectively manage the day to day operations of the branch.

Requirements

  • At least five (5) CXC subjects inclusive of Mathematics and English.

  • At least four (4) years’ experience or equivalent with qualification higher than secondary school or six (6) years’ experience without tertiary education.         

  • Mechanical or technical equipment background would be an asset.           

  • Good interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus.

  • Good communication, analytical and organizational skills.

  • Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office is a must.

  • Self-motivated and able to adapt to changing priority schedules.    

  • Must be active/proactive.

  • Must be able to work with tools.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct presentations to promote and sell Caterpillar products, parts and service through our branch.

  • Quote customers for all parts and service work and follow up on same.

  • Invoice customers for the sales of the branch.

  • Follow up on service repairs being conducted in our shop with the supervisors, especially quoted jobs.

  • Promote the services offered by the company including component repairs, field services and maintenance contracts.

  • Keep updated on all Caterpillar Service Letters relating to recalls or service updates.

  • Maintain relationship with MACORP marketing staff for promotional input on Caterpillar products through our Dealership.

  • Monitor and compare any competitor literature or advertising.

  • Handle customer disputes in a fair and equitable manner; follow up on any customer issues.

  • Promote the sale of new and Reman Caterpillar components and work tools.

  • Plan and execute visits to customers’ locations both in the interior and office using OLGA information as a guide.

  • Monitor and assist the company in collecting customer payments, outstanding balances, parts delivery, outstanding cores and parts returns.

  • Submit all commissions and claims in a prompt manner.

  • Ensure that the branch monthly sales budget is met.

  • Control branch expenses.

  • Ensure there is adequate inventory at all times.

  • Ensure the branch's operation adheres to contamination control guidelines.

  • Ensure the inventory discrepancies are low.

  • Manage the branch’s operations on a day to day basis with a general overview of the warehouse clerk duties.
