The role of a legal clerk is to support the professional attorneys within the firm. They play a critical role in the delivery of high-quality legal services to the clients.
· 5 CSEC subjects including English Language OR CAPE Certificate in Humanities/Law
· Preferably a minimum of 1 years’ of experience as a legal clerk or in a related relevant position;.
(Include but not limited to)
· Conducting first interviews with walk-in clients.
· Managing the Firm’s Diary
· Prepare:
standard letters.
witness statements.
· Arranging virtual hearings.
· File and serve legal documents.
· Research and write memoranda, order and opinions.
· Maintain chambers library.
· Ensure the availability of stationery etc.
· Manage evidentiary exhibits.
· Ensuring the efficient operation of the filing system.
· Making copies of documents
