The Network Technician I is responsible for the installation, placement, testing, maintenance, and repair of the physical network infrastructure that supports One Communications' voice and data services. The role involves travelling to various work locations, operating an assigned company vehicle, and carrying out tasks as directed by management to ensure reliable service delivery. The incumbent must also adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Five (5) CXC/GCE subjects, including Mathematics and English.
3-5 years of experience in a technical, telecommunications, or related field preferred.
Valid driver's licence and ability to operate company-assigned vehicles (pickup/lorry).
Technical aptitude in telecommunications, networking, electrical systems, or related disciplines.
Physically fit and capable of working outdoors and travelling extensively.
Willingness to travel across Guyana and stay in remote locations when required.

Install, terminate, test, maintain, and repair telecommunications infrastructure supporting voice and data services.
Install and configure DSL modems, Optical Network Terminals (ONTs), telephones, and other customer premises equipment.
Configure and troubleshoot smart devices, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet-connected equipment at customer locations.
Diagnose service faults and perform troubleshooting using appropriate testing tools and network management systems.
Respond to customer inquiries, resolve technical issues, and escalate complex matters when required.
Complete installation, repair, and service orders within established productivity and quality targets.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and work documentation within company systems.
Operate company vehicles and travel to customer and field locations throughout Guyana as required.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
Safeguard company tools, equipment, and materials entrusted for daily operations.
