The IT Analyst / Support Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient, secure, and continuous operation of databases and applications, providing the technical support and maintenance necessary to ensure the integrity, availability, and optimal performance of the corporation's information systems.
Its main goals include:
1. Ensure that databases and applications run efficiently and optimally, making adjustments and optimizations as needed to improve performance.
2. Manage access permissions and security policies effectively to ensure the integrity and availability of information systems.
3. Provide comprehensive technical support, resolving incidents and issues related to databases, .NET applications, and other systems, ensuring continuous operability.
4. Keep procedure and policy documentation up to date, ensuring compliance with established standards and regulations for database and application management.
Required:
1. Technical degree in Systems or Software Development.
Desirable:
1. High school diploma with a focus on Computing, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

The IT Analyst / Support Technician shall, among others:
1. Verify the integrity and proper operation of databases, identifying and resolving potential issues.
2. Manage access permissions to databases and other systems according to established security policies and requirements.
3. Monitor database performance and make the necessary adjustments and optimizations to ensure optimal performance and minimize response times.
4. Configure and maintain user accounts in Microsoft SQL Server, ensuring authorized access and data security.
5. Provide technical assistance to end users on the use and configuration of applications developed in the .NET environment, ensuring their proper operation.
6. Regularly verify that database backups are performed correctly, ensuring data availability in the event of data loss or system failure.
7. Develop SQL queries to extract specific information from databases according to business needs, facilitating analysis and decision-making.
8. Perform integration testing and quality assurance (QA) for applications developed in the .NET environment, ensuring they meet performance and usability standards prior to deployment.
9. Collaborate with the technical support team to resolve incidents and technical issues related to databases and .NET applications, providing effective and timely solutions to end users.
10. Carry out corrective and preventive maintenance tasks on users' hardware and software, ensuring system operability and minimizing potential interruptions or failures.
