Utility Operator

The Utility Equipment Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a variety of heavy and light equipment to support construction, maintenance, or production activities. This role requires versatility, technical skill, and an understanding of multiple machinery types, including but not limited to excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, telehandlers, and skid steers.

• High school diploma

• Certificate in Heavy

• Duty Equipment Operation

• Minimum of 6 years’ experience operating heavy equipment

• Valid license with 'Motor Tractor' class is required

• Proficiency in operating multiple types of construction or industrial equipment

• Experience in road construction, excavation, or utility installation

• Strong safety awareness and commitment to following protocols

• Operate a wide range of construction or industrial equipment including excavators, backhoes,

• bulldozers, graders, loaders, and compactors.

• Conduct daily pre-operational checks and routine maintenance (fueling, fluid checks, greasing).

• Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and grade stakes.

• Ensure proper loading and unloading of materials and equipment.

• Work closely with ground crews, supervisors, and other operators to coordinate tasks and

• complete projects on time.

• Maintain awareness of surroundings to ensure safety of personnel and equipment.

• Adhere to company safety policies, traffic control plans, and environmental regulations.

• Keep detailed and accurate equipment logs and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.

• Assist with operating other heavy-duty equipment as required.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the project or company operations.
