Description
The Assembly Operative/Joiner will be responsible for assembling kitchens, wardrobes, cabinets, furniture and other joinery products manufactured by Aura Manufacturing Inc.
The successful candidate will work with CNC-cut components, edge-banded panels, drilled components and hardware to produce completed products ready for packaging, delivery and installation.
Requirements
*Previous cabinetmaking or joinery experience preferred.
* Kitchen assembly experience advantageous.
* Furniture assembly experience advantageous.
* Ability to use hand and power tools.
* Ability to read basic drawings.
* Good measurement skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Good manual dexterity.
* Ability to work independently and within a team.
Responsibilities
*Assemble kitchen cabinets and units.
* Assemble wardrobes and furniture.
* Assemble carcasses, drawers and doors.
* Install hinges, drawer runners and handles.
* Install brackets and other cabinet hardware.
* Read assembly drawings and instructions.
* Identify components using labels and job documentation.
* Check components before assembly.
* Ensure joints are properly aligned.
* Check cabinet dimensions and squareness.
* Use hand tools and power tools safely.
* Carry out minor adjustments where required.
* Assemble bespoke and custom-designed furniture.
* Inspect completed units for defects.
* Identify damaged or incorrectly manufactured components.
* Report production issues to the Production Manager.
* Protect finished surfaces from damage.
* Prepare completed products for packaging.
* Maintain a clean work area.
* Follow production schedules.
* Meet quality and productivity targets.
* Follow all health and safety procedures.
