Description

The IT Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the organization's technology infrastructure. This includes network systems, servers, cloud services, cybersecurity controls, communications systems, and technology platforms required to support the Toroparu Project during both construction and operational phases. The position ensures the availability, reliability, scalability, and security of the technology environment while supporting business growth and operational requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.

• Industry certifications are highly desirable.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure administration.

• Experience managing enterprise networks and cybersecurity technologies.

• Experience with Microsoft 365 and cloud-based platforms.

• Experience with firewalls, switches, wireless networks, and VPN technologies.

• Experience with monitoring and alerting systems.

• Experience supporting industrial, mining, construction, or remote site operations is

considered a strong asset.

• Experience managing third-party vendors and service providers.

• Enterprise network design and administration.

• TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VLANs, VPNs, and Wireless Networks.

• Fortinet Firewall Administration.

• Aruba Network Infrastructure.

• Microsoft 365 Administration.

• Active Directory and Identity Management.

• Windows Server Administration.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure architecture.

• Administer LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and internet connectivity services.

• Deploy, configure, and maintain network equipment including firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless systems.

• Manage Microsoft 365, cloud services, and hybrid environments.

• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file services, and identity management platforms.

• Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls and security best practices.

• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity.

• Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.

• Support telecommunications and communication systems.

• Coordinate infrastructure projects and technology deployments.

• Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and asset inventories.

• Manage vendor relationships and service providers.

• Perform root cause analysis of infrastructure incidents.

• Develop infrastructure standards and procedures.

• Prepare infrastructure performance and operational reports.

• Ensure compliance with corporate technology standards and security policies.
