Lineman

The Lineman is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing utility lines and related equipment. The role involves outdoor work, working at heights and in varying weather conditions. The work environment focuses on safety, teamwork and reliability. Regular working hours generally apply; however, overtime, weekends or emergency work may be required when necessary.

● Previous experience as a Lineman or in electrical/utility work is preferred.

● Technical or vocational training in Electrical Installation or a related field would be an asset.

● Relevant certification from GTI, GTTI, BIT or another recognised institution is an advantage.

● Knowledge of electrical and workplace safety procedures.

● Experience working at heights and using lineman tools and equipment.

● A valid Guyana driver’s licence would be an asset.

Install, maintain and repair utility lines and equipment.

Inspect lines and identify faults or damage.

Work safely at heights using appropriate tools and equipment.

Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines. Assist with emergency repairs and service restoration. Maintain tools, equipment and a safe work area.

Work effectively with supervisors and other team members.
