Truck Driver

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our quarry operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting aggregates, gabbro, granite, and other materials to and from the quarry site in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires adherence to safety standards, proper vehicle maintenance, and timely delivery of materials.

• Valid Guyana Driver’s License (Heavy-Duty/Truck category).

• Sound knowledge of road safety rules and heavy vehicle operation.

• Familiarity with quarry or construction site operations (an asset).

• Ability to follow instructions and work under minimal supervision.

• Safely operating company dump trucks, articulated haulers, or flatbed trucks for transporting quarry materials as directed. 

• Inspect trucks daily before use and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team.  

• Ensure materials are loaded securely and properly distributed and unloaded in compliance with safety procedures. 

• Deliver materials between designated points: pit face, stockpiles, crushing plants, or jetty. 

• Adhere strictly to speed limits and traffic rules within the quarry and public roads. 

• Maintain accurate records/logs of trips, loads, and delivery times as directed. 

• Assist in basic maintenance (e.g., checking oil, fuel, tires) and keep the truck clean and operational. 

• Coordinate with the quarry loading team, weighbridge operators, and security personnel. 

• Follow all site-specific safety and environmental protocols, including PPE use and spill prevention. 

• Reporting any accidents or incidents immediately.
