We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Auto Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent diagnostic skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
A technical vocational certification in automotive or diesel mechanics is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an auto electrical or heavy equipment mechanic, preferably in a mining or heavy industrial environment.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and transmissions.
Experience working with heavy equipment brands such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, or similar.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair guides.
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on vehicles, including haul trucks, loaders, bulldozers, graders, and light vehicles.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy equipment and vehicles.
Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of the quarry fleet assets.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and service schedules.
Adhere to safety regulations and company policies, ensuring all work is performed in compliance with safety standards.
Operate diagnostic equipment and specialized tools to identify mechanical failures.
Provide technical support to junior mechanics as needed.
Report major mechanical issues to supervisors and recommend solutions.
