We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Auto Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent diagnostic skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Requirements

  • A technical vocational certification in automotive or diesel mechanics is preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an auto electrical or heavy equipment mechanic, preferably in a mining or heavy industrial environment.

  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and transmissions.

  • Experience working with heavy equipment brands such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, or similar.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair guides.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on vehicles, including haul trucks, loaders, bulldozers, graders, and light vehicles.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy equipment and vehicles.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of the quarry fleet assets.

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and service schedules.

  • Adhere to safety regulations and company policies, ensuring all work is performed in compliance with safety standards.

  • Operate diagnostic equipment and specialized tools to identify mechanical failures.

  • Provide technical support to junior mechanics as needed.

  • Report major mechanical issues to supervisors and recommend solutions.
