The Training and Development Officer is required to coordinate the development and execution of training programmes to continually upgrade the skills of the company’s employee population inclusive of service stations and outstations.
Bachelors in Education with specialization in curriculum development, Learning and Teaching Methodologies
Three (3) years’ corporate training experience will be an asset. Transferable skills and experience will be considered
Learner-focused approach, effective communicator, courteous demeanour, passion for developing people
Ability to construct and deliver training content via varying modes; virtual, classroom lecture-demonstrations, manuals/modules, audio, visuals etc.
Determine the training needs of the company through Needs Analysis method identifying resource requirement; materials, expertise and other developmental interventions specific to trainings for review and approval.
Source, compile and maintain database of training institutions, agencies, schools etc. whose offerings have been determined to bring added value to the company’s upskilling pursuit as a complement to internal expertise within the company
Organize timely orientation of new employees into company, and facilitate sensitization session on new development within the company for employee understanding and adaptation to the change process
Manage annual training budget with quarterly tracking and progress reports on deliverables, key results assessment of all training activities advising on required but unplanned changes
Organize Train-the-Trainers programme and development of the trainers’ ability to design and conduct courses
Coordinates the acquisition and maintenance of materials relevant to content and delivery of the respective trainings.
Continuous monitoring and evaluation of training programmes effectiveness on workforce
Identify human resource with potential for growth and support developmental process as well as assist employees committed to self-improvement for the benefit of the company
