Kitchen Manager / Executive Chef

The Kitchen Manager / Exec. Chef completes a variety of creative, organizational and leadership tasks to ensure kitchen operations are kept at optimal efficiency and guests / patrons enjoy high-quality meals and beverages.

• Culinary degree or equivalent experience is often preferred.

• Several years of experience in kitchen management or a similar role is common

• Culinary Expertise: Extensive knowledge of cooking techniques, diverse cuisines, and food preparation methods.

• Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage a team, including delegating tasks effectively.

• Problem-solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues in the kitchen efficiently.

• Communication Skills: Excellent communication to interact with staff, management, and other departments.

• Financial Acumen: Understanding of food costs, labor management, and budgeting principles.

• Food Safety Certification: Certified in food safety practices and regulations.

• Oversee all food preparation operations in a fast-paced kitchen environment

• Planning ingredients and meal prep. routines to keep up with demand

• Prepare and serve dishes and beverages to standards and at the appropriate portions

• Managing kitchen inventory in an efficient way to reduce wastage and spoilage

• Provide guidance and oversight to other kitchen staff as needed.

• Able to incorporate feedback from customers and management to improve product quality and service delivery

• Flexibility to work shifts
