Cargo Support Clerk

Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to assist with documentation and administrative support for the clearance of goods at Ogle Airport. This role involves interacting with businesses and regular customers to facilitate smooth processing of cargo documents. Due to the location, preference will be given to candidates residing in or near the Ogle area for ease of access.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 CXC subjects including Mathematics, English and EDPM.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Previous experience in cargo documentation, customs, logistics, or related fields would be an asset.

• Familiarity of QuickBooks would be an asset.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good organizational and record-keeping skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and maintain high levels of accountability.

• Must be comfortable working in an airport environment.

Preferred:

• Candidates living in or around the Ogle/East Coast area.

• Experience handling cash and basic reconciliations.

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, with adjustments depending on flight/cargo schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare documentation for customers who do not have a C-73A form.

• Complete forms and enter all required details for running cargo into the log book and customs book.

• Input cargo information into the designated online file/system for the relevant date.

• Collect payments from customers and ensure all cash is balanced and reconciled at the end of each day.

• Provide general assistance and support to ensure timely clearance of goods for both commercial and individual customers.

• Liaise with internal team members and external parties when required.

• Any other duties.
