Restaurant Shift Supervisor

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant during assigned shifts. This includes supervising front-of-house staff, maintaining service standards, ensuring guest satisfaction, managing floor operations, and supporting the Restaurant Manager in meeting daily performance goals.Oversee all FOH operations during the shift, ensuring exceptional service delivery.

● Minimum 2 years’ experience in restaurant or F&B operations, including team leadership
● Prior supervisory or senior service role preferred
● Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
● Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office is an advantage
● Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

● Assign and monitor daily duties for servers, hosts, and bussers.

● Handle guest complaints promptly and professionally, escalating when necessary.

● Supervise table turns, seating arrangements, and reservation flow to maximize efficiency.

● Ensure opening and closing checklists are completed accurately by all team members.

● Conduct shift briefings to communicate daily specials, service priorities, and updates.

● Monitor hygiene, uniform standards, and personal grooming of FOH staff.

● Assist with staff onboarding and on-the-job training for new team members.

● Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure smooth order flow and timing.

● Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.

● Complete shift reports, incident logs, and stock usage updates as needed.

● Support inventory checks and assist in managing restaurant supplies.
