Head of Planning and Reliability

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.

Minimum fifteen years of experience in engineering or maintenance roles, with at least five years in large-scale solar power plant operations.

Professional experience in failure mode/effect analysis (FMEA), reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), and root cause analysis (RCA).

Strong knowledge of photovoltaic systems, maintenance planning methodologies, and performance optimization techniques.

Experience using SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) modules and computer-based maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical decision-making abilities.

Strong teamwork, leadership, and communication skills suitable for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement asset reliability, maintainability, and performance strategies for solar power plant operations, focusing on equipment durability and optimal production output.

Establish preventive and predictive maintenance programs, including condition monitoring activities, to ensure maximum asset availability and operational efficiency.

Review, validate, and continuously improve annual maintenance plans submitted to regulatory or contractual bodies.

Plan and manage maintenance schedules, ensuring alignment with operational targets, technical requirements, and safety standards.

Collaborate with maintenance teams, contractors, and technical specialists to oversee the execution of maintenance activities and diagnose equipment failures or deviations.

Provide technical support for troubleshooting plant equipment, conducting root cause analyses, and recommending corrective and preventive actions.

Manage power production planning, including monthly energy forecasts, performance reports, and coordination of revenue recovery submissions.

Lead performance management initiatives by developing KPIs, analyzing operational data, and reporting performance insights to management and energy authorities.

Drive continuous improvement programs targeting equipment reliability, lifecycle optimization, and reduced operational downtime.

Implement risk management strategies through structured incident reviews, failure investigations, technical audits, and the development of corrective action plans.

Plan and allocate maintenance resources, including manpower, budgets, materials, and spare parts, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
