Description

The Logistics Clerk is responsible for managing and coordinating logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of goods and services to assist with the smooth operation of the organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a logistics or supply chain role.

  • High school graduate/ Diploma in logistics/ supply chain management or relevant feel required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively.

  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office 2016 or higher – Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Adobe software and Outlook).

  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data.

  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.

  • Flexibility to work outside regular business hours if needed.

  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ driving experience.

  • Must own and be able to operate a motorcycle.

  • Possession of a valid motorcycle driver’s license is required.

  • Possession of a valid motor car driver’s license will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Answers phone calls and emails.

  • Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to arrange transportation.

  • Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping.

  • Prepare and process shipping documents (Bill Ladings, Packing Lists), Quotations, invoices and Sign On/Off and OK to Board letters, import and export documentation for customers etc.

  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments.

  • Communicate with internal departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.

  • Maintain and update logistics databases and systems.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of logistics policies and procedures.

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to manage stock levels and storage.

  • Handle customer inquiries and provide updates on shipment status.

  • Assist in the negotiation of contracts with suppliers and carriers.

  • Support the logistics team with administrative tasks as needed.

  • Maintain work environment in a clean and neat format.

  • Perform any related duties as assigned by your supervisor/Management.
