Description

Look after and maintain machinery and equipment which produce water or steam for heat, maintain equipment, job performance, quality standards and house- keeping practices. 

Requirements

Craft Certificate in Mechanical Engineering/Refrigeration

Or

Sound Secondary Education 

3 Years’ Related Work experience 

Responsibilities

  • Operate the steam plant system as required. 

  • Read gauges and meters periodically to ensure proper functioning of the boilers; record readings and other data on log sheets.

  • Check that the stipulated amount of Chlorine is injected into both wells. 

  • Test and analyze water to certify that it has the recommended Chlorine Parts Per Million. 

  • Inspect reservoir water levels to determine Chlorine concentration.

  • Operate and maintain Generators and Pumps in good working order. 

  • Make changeovers from GPL to Generators and vice- versa.
