Kale Constructions is a business specializing in communications and network tower rigging, climbing, and installation. In operation since 2006, Kale Constructions is a leading provider of complete telecommunication tower services, including the installation of integrated systems, solar and electrical apparatus, grounding, and maintenance of the tower environment.
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to support our field operations across Guyana. This role is critical to ensuring the safe and timely transport of personnel, equipment, and materials to project sites. The Driver will be required to travel to various parts of Guyana as work demands.
The principal place of work is Georgetown, which will serve as the base when there is no active field project or when projects are close enough to allow daily return home.
Extended deployments may range from overnight stays to multi-week assignments, particularly for Interior or Hinterland projects.
Living conditions during extended deployments may vary depending on available local facilities and infrastructure.
Travel may involve road, river, and/or air transport.
Standard work weeks are 40 hours, except while on active project sites.
Projects may continue until completion and can include weekends or public holidays, unless otherwise agreed with the Supervisor.
Work performed on weekends or holidays will be compensated by time-in-lieu.
Valid driver’s licence covering Car, Minibus, Van, and Lorry/Canter Truck.
Proven experience driving light and heavy vehicles, preferably in construction or field-based environments.
Good knowledge of road networks across Guyana, including Interior and Hinterland routes.
Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when required.
Physically fit and able to assist with basic handling of equipment and materials.
Safely operate company vehicles including cars, minibuses, vans, and lorry/canter trucks.
Transport staff, tools, equipment, and materials to and from project sites.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are maintained in safe, roadworthy condition.
Coordinate with supervisors and project teams regarding travel schedules and logistics.
Assist with loading and unloading of equipment as required.
Maintain accurate vehicle logs and comply with company safety and operational procedures.
Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and site-specific safety requirements.
