The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for monitoring, reconciling, and maintaining accurate inventory levels for all Bata Guyana stores. This role includes conducting regular stock checks, investigating discrepancies, coordinating stock transfers, and leading quarterly inventory audits across all branches. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, analytical, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively with store teams.
Associate’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Logistics, or related field is an asset).
At least 1–2 years of experience in inventory management, retail operations, or warehouse coordination.
Strong proficiency with inventory software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to conduct physical inventory counts (including lifting boxes and standing for extended periods).
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple store teams.
Reliable, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential or sensitive information.
Able to travel to various Bata store locations for audits (mandatory).
Oversee and maintain accurate inventory records across all Bata Guyana stores.
Conduct quarterly physical inventory audits for all stores and prepare audit reports for management.
Perform routine inventory spot checks to ensure consistency between system counts and physical stock.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, missing items, or shrinkage issues.
Coordinate stock transfers between stores and ensure timely documentation.
Track product movement, monitor low-stock levels, and report replenishment needs.
Ensure all inventory adjustments are accurately recorded in the system.
Work closely with Store Supervisors and Warehouse personnel to maintain proper stockroom organization.
Assist with receiving shipments, verifying quantities, and ensuring items are checked into the system correctly.
Prepare monthly and quarterly inventory performance reports for management review.
Monitor and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize loss or mismanagement.
Support the rollout of new merchandise, promotions, and seasonal stock changes.
Maintain clear communication with store teams regarding stock issues, transfers, and audit findings.
Provide recommendations to improve inventory processes and efficiency.
