Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Clerk to join our esteemed organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices, coupled with a deep commitment to accuracy and compliance. This position requires an individual who is organized and able to manage multiple tasks while working in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Clerk or similar role, with at least three years of experience.

  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office

  • Certification such as CAT or similar would be an asset

Responsibilities

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and back ups: Including but not limited to ledgers, journals, invoices, bills, credit card charges, credit memos.

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections. Communicating effectively with Vendors, Customers and Employees.

  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify accuracy and completeness of transactions.

  • Internal Reporting Preparation: Prepare reports for internal processes such as Inventory tracking, Internal revenue and Expense tracking, COI compliance, Commission Reports, etc.

  • Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct basic financial analysis and provide insights to management as needed.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations.

  •  Phone Duties: Assist in Back Office phone coverage in a daily basis.

  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to support overall organizational goals.
