Description

The Geotechnical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and conducting laboratory testing of soil, aggregates, concrete, and other construction materials to assess their properties and suitability for construction. The role requires ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, interpreting test results, analyzing geotechnical data, and preparing comprehensive reports with engineering recommendations for site development and construction projects.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or an equivalent field.

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in geotechnical investigations and laboratory testing.

  • Experience in conducting PDA tests, laboratory testing of soil and materials, and analyzing test results would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and conduct laboratory testing of soil, aggregates, concrete, and other construction materials to determine their properties and suitability for construction.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards in all testing procedures, maintaining accuracy and quality control.

  • Interpret and analyze test results to assess material properties and their impact on construction performance.

  • Analyze geotechnical and materials testing data to develop engineering solutions for foundation design, soil stabilization, and construction materials selection.

  • Prepare detailed geotechnical investigation reports, including findings, data analysis, and engineering recommendations for site development and construction projects.
