Description

The Crewing Coordinator is responsible for managing crew scheduling, recruitment, and compliance for maritime or offshore operations. This role ensures that qualified personnel are assigned to vessels or offshore projects in accordance with industry regulations, company policies, and contractual agreements. The Crewing Coordinator also maintains accurate records, liaises with internal departments, and assists with crew welfare and travel arrangements.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in crew management, maritime HR, or logistics.

  • Knowledge of maritime regulations and industry standards.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and crew management software.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Crew Scheduling & Deployment:

    • Coordinate crew changes and rotations, ensuring timely assignments.

    • Maintain updated crew lists and rosters.

    • Ensure compliance with contract terms, working hours, and rest periods.

  2. Recruitment & Selection:

    • Source, screen, and recruit qualified seafarers or offshore personnel.

    • Verify certifications, experience, and references.

    • Maintain an active talent pool for future needs.

  3. Compliance & Documentation:

    • Ensure all crew certifications, visas, and work permits are valid and up to date.

    • Stay informed about industry regulations (e.g., STCW, MLC, flag state requirements).

    • Prepare and submit reports to regulatory bodies as required.

  4. Crew Welfare & Support:

    • Arrange travel, accommodation, and medical check-ups for crew members.

    • Address crew concerns and act as a liaison between crew and management.

  5. Communication & Coordination:

    • Work closely with vessel managers, operations teams, and HR departments.

    • Maintain strong relationships with recruitment agencies and maritime institutions.

    • Provide regular updates on crew movements and status.
