Security Supervisor

The Security Supervisor at Movietowne Guyana is responsible for overseeing all security operations to ensure the safety and security of patrons, staff, and property. This role involves leading a team of security personnel, implementing security policies, and responding promptly to incidents to maintain a secure and enjoyable environment for all.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in security operations, with at least 1 years in a supervisory role.

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

• Knowledge of security systems, procedures, and emergency response protocols.

• Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Physical fitness and the ability to perform patrolling and emergency response duties.

• Must be available to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate Movietowne’s operating hours.

• Ability to work in dynamic environments, including indoor and outdoor settings.

1. Team Leadership and Supervision

   • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the security team, ensuring proper coverage and adherence to schedules.

   • Provide training and ongoing guidance to security personnel to maintain a high level of professionalism.

   • Conduct regular performance reviews and recommend corrective actions or training where necessary.

2. Operational Oversight

   • Monitor and manage security operations, including patrols, surveillance, and crowd control during peak times and events.

   • Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify and mitigate security risks.

   • Respond to and manage security breaches, disturbances, or emergencies, ensuring swift resolution.

3. Access and Crowd Control

   • Oversee entry and exit points, ensuring compliance with access policies for patrons, staff, and vendors.

   • Supervise ticket verification processes and monitor crowd flow during events and peak times.

4. Incident Management

   • Investigate security incidents and prepare detailed reports for submission to management.

   • Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency services as necessary.

   • Document and track incidents for trend analysis and proactive risk management.

5. Safety and Emergency Preparedness

   • Develop and enforce safety protocols, including emergency evacuation plans.

   • Conduct regular safety drills in coordination with other departments.

   • Ensure all security equipment, including surveillance systems and alarms, is functional and report any malfunctions.

6. Compliance and Risk Management

   • Ensure all security policies and procedures comply with company standards and local regulations.

   • Perform regular risk assessments and recommend improvements to security measures.
