A cashier supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing cashier operations and ensuring smooth transactions in retail or service environments.
Education:
· At least five (5) subjects CXC, inclusive of Grades 1 to 3 in Mathematics, English and Accounts
· Diploma/Degree in related field would be an asset
Experience: 3 years or more experience managing a small store in retail environment

The job requires moderate physical activities.
1.Supervising cashiers to ensure they follow store policies and provide excellent customer service.
2.Training and mentoring new cashiers to improve efficiency and accuracy.
3. Conduct periodic checks on cash registers for each store and ensuring registers are balanced at the end of each shift.
4.Resolving customer complaints and addressing any issues related to sales transactions.
5.Scheduling shifts and managing cashier breaks, especially during busy periods.
6.Ensuring each cash register has sufficient change on a daily basis.
7.Ensuring all cashiers are in compliance with the cash handling policies.
8.Submit periodic reports to management on the cashier department.
9.Report all pos issues for all stores and ensuring that the issues are resolved.
10.Conduct periodic checks on cashier performance.
11. Ensuring each cashier has sufficient stationery in stock; register rolls, pos rolls, pens etc.
12.Responsible for doing cash drops and ensuring cashier have sufficient change on daily basis. All cash MUST be checked thoroughly in present of cashier to ensure accountability and records retain to substantiate any movement of cash.
13.Responsible for balancing cashier at end of every shift and submit reports to relevant persons at end of the day.
14.Authorize and process returns, ensure necessary forms are filled out, signed off and submit at end of day with balancing reports.
15.Assisting with cashing at the register as needed.
16.Ensuring that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service.
