A Junior Cashier plays a vital role in handling financial transactions and ensuring smooth customer interactions.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role preferred
Basic math and computer skills
Strong communication and time management abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
High school diploma or equivalent
Reporting Responsibilities: Reports to Cashier Supervisor

Education:
· At least five (5) subjects CXC, inclusive of Grades 1 to 3 in Mathematics, English and Accounts
· Diploma/Degree in related field would be an asset.
Experience: 3 years or more experience in similar role

The job requires moderate physical activities.
1. Processing of sales transaction and operating cash register efficiently
2.Ensuring a receipt is issued for every sale transaction
3.Maintaining outstanding customer service
4.Collect payments via cash, credit, debit, or other methods
5.Assist customers with inquiries and product recommendations
6.Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
7.Handle merchandise returns and exchanges
8.Ensuring that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service.
8. Accurately and efficiently enter purchases into cash register, maintain all cash and other forms of payment securely in the cash register.
9. Must ALWAYS count cash in presence of customer and issue a receipt for every sale transaction.
10. Any other task as assigned from time to time by management.
