On-site role for a 6g Welder (Must be Certified) The 6g Welder will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks of welding, arc welding, TIG welding, MIG welding, Pipe Welding and working with materials to support onshore and offshore operations in the oil and gas industry.
Review technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine the requirements for metal fabrication projects.
Cut, bend, and shape metal components using a range of fabrication equipment such as saws, lathes, drill presses, and grinders.
Weld or join metal components together using various techniques and methods including MIG, TIG, and ARC welding.
Assemble and construct metal products, ensuring that the final product is accurate, functional, and meets the required specifications.
Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Regularly maintain and clean all metal fabrication tools, equipment, and machinery used in the workshop.
Collaborate with team members, including designers, engineers, and project managers to ensure project deadlines and objectives are met.
Continuously develop knowledge of industry trends and advancements in metal fabrication techniques.
6g welding certification • Experience in welding, Pipe Welding, TIG welding, and MIG welding
Proficiency in working with different materials, including steel, aluminum, and copper
Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Physical fitness and ability to work in confined spaces, hot environments, and at heights
Experience working in the oil and gas industry is a plus
Experience working with offshore operations is a plus
API 510, 570, DW1.1 and CWI certification
3 year Experience
Must be able to unload/lift construction material from 50 lbs
Asset if qualified to work in the oil and gas industry
