We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Merchandiser to join our team. This role requires a dynamic individual who can effectively combine sales and merchandising activities to drive product visibility and achieve sales targets. The Merchandiser will be responsible for conducting outdoor sales visits, maintaining product displays, building strong customer relationships, and providing administrative support to ensure accurate sales records and smooth operational processes. A personal vehicle is required for this role.
5 CXC subject passes - Mathematics and English Language compulsory or general education degree or equivalent.
Ability to stay calm when customers are stressed or upset.
Comfortable using computers.
Experience working with customer support in the retail industry.
Applicants must have reliable access to a vehicle.
Sales Activities:
-Conducting outdoor sales visits to existing and potential customers.
-Building and maintaining relationships with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
-Presenting and promoting products to customers, highlighting their features and benefits.
-Negotiating sales terms and closing deals to achieve sales targets.
-Responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints.
-Generating leads and identifying new sales opportunities in the assigned territory.
Merchandising Activities:
-Ensuring that products are properly displayed and stocked in retail stores or other sales outlets.
-Setting up product displays and promotional materials to attract customer attention.
-Collaborating with store managers or owners to optimize product placement and visibility.
-Gathering feedback from customers and store staff to improve product presentation and sales performance.
Administrative Tasks:
-Maintaining accurate records of sales activities, including customer interactions and transactions.
-Preparing sales reports and forecasts for management review.
-Managing paperwork related to sales orders, invoices, and payments.
-Tracking expenses related to sales and merchandising activities (e.g., travel expenses, promotional materials).
Communication and Coordination:
-Collaborating with internal teams (e.g., marketing, product management) to support sales and promotional efforts.
-Communicating product updates, pricing changes, and promotions to customers and retail partners.
-Participating in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on product knowledge and sales techniques.
