Kitchen Assistant

The kitchen assistant supports the kitchen team in preparing and serving food, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring efficient kitchen operations. This role involves performing various tasks to assist other team members in delivering high-quality food and bevereages.

• Previous experience as a kitchen assistant or in a similar role is preferred

• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety practices

• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Willingness to perform various tasks as needed to support the kitchen team

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Assist in food preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing ingredients as directed

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning workstations, and ensuring proper disposal of waste

• Help in food storage and ensuring that supplies are stocked and organized

• Support kitchen team during busy periods by performing tasks such as plating dishes, garnishing and delivering food to the dining area

• Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs to the kitchen supervisor

• Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe working environment

• Assist in setting up and breaking down kitchen stations before and after service

• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks
