Description

The Commercial Assistant will play a vital role in delivering thorough administrative and clerical support to the commercial department. This position will involve assisting in various functions such as Marketing, Sales, and customer relationship management, ensuring the smooth execution of tasks. Responsibilities will include managing schedules, coordinating marketing campaigns, maintaining databases, and facilitating communication between departments. By performing these duties, the Commercial Assistant will contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of operations within the team.

Requirements

  • CXC passes in Mathematics and English

  • Experience in similar role would be an asset

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accurate and timely input of data into company databases and systems, maintaining data integrity and performing regular audits to identify discrepancies.

  • Streamline the organization and filing of both digital and physical documents, implementing a structured system that promotes easy access and retrieval for team members.

  • Deliver comprehensive administrative assistance to the commercial team, including scheduling and coordinating meetings across multiple time zones, preparing detailed reports, and managing complex travel arrangements to optimize efficiency.

  • Collaborate with the sales team by developing polished sales presentations, gathering and analyzing market data to inform strategies, and tracking sales metrics to support growth initiatives.

  • Aid in the preparation and finalization of merchandising materials and point-of-sale collateral, ensuring alignment with brand standards and effective communication of promotional strategies in both Brand and Trade marketing efforts.

  • Facilitate the processing of credit purchases, ensuring compliance with company policies and timely reconciliation of transactions to maintain accurate financial records.

  • Assisting with sales demonstrations, product presentations, organizing sales materials and samples.
