We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Coordinator to join our team. As a Mechanical Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating mechanical activities, ensuring timely completion of projects, and optimizing the performance of mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, project management, and coordination skills, with the ability to oversee a team of professionals in a dynamic environment.
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A professional certification in project management.
· Proven experience in mechanical design
· Knowledge of data entry software, databases, and spreadsheet applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel and Google sheets.
· Oversee mechanical projects from conception to completion, ensuring all timelines and budgets are met.
· Coordinate tasks between mechanical engineers, contractors, and other team members.
· Prepare project schedules, monitor progress, and address any delays or issues that arise.
· Review mechanical system designs and specifications to ensure they meet project requirements.
· Assist with the selection of appropriate mechanical equipment and materials based on project needs.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
· Supervise mechanical engineers and technicians during the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
· Provide guidance and support to the team to resolve technical challenges.
· Delegate tasks and monitor team performance to ensure work is carried out efficiently.
· Implement quality control measures to ensure mechanical systems function as intended.
· Conduct inspections of mechanical equipment, systems, and installations to verify compliance with specifications and standards.
· Ensure preventative maintenance is conducted on mechanical systems and equipment
· Liaison between the different departments.
· Prepare and present progress reports to senior management.
· Resolve any communication or coordination issues that may arise during the project execution
· Develop and manage project budgets, including estimating costs for labor, materials, and equipment.
· Monitor resource usage and adjust schedules and tasks as necessary to stay within budget.
· Ensure that all mechanical work complies with safety regulations and best practices.
· Lead or participate in safety audits and enforce safe work practices.
· Diagnose mechanical issues and provide technical support to resolve system failures or inefficiencies.
· Develop strategies for system improvements and implement solutions to increase efficiency.
