The Senior Environmental & Community Relations Officer has company-wide responsibility for environmental oversight, program and policy concerns relating to the environment and specifically pertaining to First Bauxite Inc. projects and supplemental activities.
A bachelor’s degree in environmental studies or biology or any other related field.
A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' experience.
Proven experience in community engagement, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
Strong knowledge of environmental laws, regulations and industry best practices.
NOTE – This is primarily a live-in position with field breaks.
Oversee environmental monitoring and reporting, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and company policies.
Develop and implement environmental management response plans, policies, and procedures to minimize the environmental impact of mining operations.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with local communities, government agencies, and other key stakeholders.
Develop and implement community outreach programs that promote understanding and positive engagement with the company's operations.
Inform, interpret, advise, train and review the professional products of all program areas that have environmental responsibilities pertaining to the project.
Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders on environmental and community-related matters.
