Stock clerks play a key role in the dynamic hotel industries. Stock clerks work to make sure that items within the stockroom move to their proper destination, whether it be the kitchen, restaurant, functions or any department of the hotel. A stock/inventory clerk receives merchandise, unpacks it, marks items, stock shelves and issue materials when requested. He receives counts, documents and stores items in an orderly manner.
