Performs a range of accounting functions to facilitate efficient and effective operations. Provides administrative support to the department as required. Maintains and supports effective staff and customer relationships.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar qualification from a recognized academic institution.
A minimum of ten (10) years’ proven accounting experience.
Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamic Great Plains or other accounting software.
Certification in Computer Applications including Microsoft Office suite.
Advance Excel certification.
Researches, tracks and restores accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
Records day to day financial transactions and completes the posting process.
Completes tax reports and prepares annual returns.
Provides accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
Responsible for the filing of monthly VAT tax returns.
Conducts periodic reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts in a timely manner to ensure their accuracy.
Completes general ledger postings and reconciliation of accounts and statements.
Maintains Chart of account.
Records cash receipts and prepares bank deposits of payments received from customers and other sources.
Completes detailed journal entries and month-end reconciliation.
Maintains an orderly accounting filing system.
Produces ad hoc reporting as requested by management.
Provides assistance and support to company personnel.
Assists with financial statements.
