To manage the assessment process in order that it consistently meets national standards and the requirements of awarding bodies. The Internal Verifier/Moderator is responsible for maintaining the quality of assessment within the organization by ensuring that assessments are valid and consistent. Monitoring and sampling assessment decisions, providing support and guidance to the assessors, and liaising with the External Verifier of the company.
Interpersonal Skills:
Maturity, gender sensitivity, and proven ability to work productively and respectfully with administrative staff, tertiary faculties, and student bodies/groups;
Communication Skills:
Good communication skills in the English language;
Mastery of office computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Professional knowledge and experience
Qualification Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Management Studies, or any other Social Science; a Master's degree will be an advantage
Proven track record of assessing qualification equivalences that consistently meet national standards and the requirements of the National Accreditation Council-Guyana and other awarding bodies.
The internal verifier shall be responsible for;
Verifying that the provider’s assessment procedures have been applied across the range of assessment activities
Confirming assessment results by checking learner evidence exists and marks and grades are recorded accurately
Check adherence to the provider’s quality-assured assessment procedures
Check results are recorded for all learners being entered for the award
Confirm the accuracy of assessment results for a sample of learner evidence
Identify and correct any errors
Note any irregularities and take corrective action
Produce an internal verification report
Perform other related duties on a needs basis.
