Position: Local Boat Captain
Vessel: Fortune Star 789
Vessel Type: 1,600-tonne Self-Propelled Vessel
Requirements
• Master 500GT or higher Near Coastal Certificate (NCV) – mandatory.
• Minimum five (5) years' experience as Captain on vessels of similar size.
• Valid GMDSS, Basic Safety Training, and other STCW certificates.
• Strong knowledge of navigation, safety, and marine operations.
• Proven leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities
• Safely operate and navigate the 1,600-tonne self-propelled vessel.
• Plan and conduct voyages in accordance with regulations and safe boating practices.
• Ensure the safety of crew, passengers, cargo, and vessel at all times.
• Maintain vessel equipment, engine performance, and onboard systems.
• Complete logs, reports, and documentation accurately.
• Comply with all maritime regulations, Company policies, and HSE requirements.
