Description
New Hayven Merchant Bank Inc. is a licensed Guyanese Merchant Bank founded in 2022, with Guyanese Roots and Globally Connected. Our Corporate Advisory & Investment Banking division structures and executes debt and equity transactions for clients across Guyana and the wider Caribbean — and we are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team.
This is a role for someone who enjoys building the analysis behind a transaction: the models, the research and the materials that help a client raise capital and grow. You will work directly with the Head of Corporate Advisory & Investment Banking on live mandates, with real exposure to how deals are structured and closed.
Requirements
• A degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
• Typically 2–4 years in financial analysis, corporate finance or research — though strong graduates who can demonstrate real modelling ability are encouraged to apply.
• Genuine strength in financial modelling and spreadsheets, and familiarity with common valuation methods.
• Progress toward CFA, ACCA or CPA/CA is an advantage.
• Accuracy and attention to detail, clear communication, and discretion with confidential information.
Responsibilities
• Build and maintain financial models for the valuation of companies, debt and other instruments.
• Research markets, sectors and target companies, and turn the findings into clear, usable analysis.
• Prepare teasers, pitch decks and financial documents that go to clients and investors.
• Support live transactions from first contact through to close.
• Maintain the Bank's market-intelligence database and provide periodic market updates.
