Description

1. Ensure that the vehicle(s) are transported to the agreed destination in a safe and reliable manner ensuring that all vehicle checks and corresponding documents are completed according to agreed standards within the agreed timelines.

2. Utilize assigned vehicle (s) where applicable to transport customers and/or packages in a professional, safe and reliable manner to and from agreed destinations during and out of the Company’s standard working hours. Confidentiality MUST be maintained at all times.

Requirements

A minimum of three (3) CXC passes including Mathematics and English.
Experience in Customer service and the use of Computers will be an asset.
Knowledge of the various geographic locations throughout the country.
Drive safely and follow rules of the law and have a good driving record.
Ability to identify basic challenges with vehicle(s)
HSSE Knowledge and Safe System of Works will be an asset.
Ability to drive Manual Transmission is Compulsory.
Possession of a valid driving permit with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience.
Lorry and Minibus permits as well as possession of a Hire Car Driver's permit will be an asset.
A valid Police Clearance

Responsibilities

Transport clients and/or other Motor Vehicle Operators (Drivers), packages and vehicles to and from agreed destinations in a safe, reliable and timely manner during and out of the company’s working hours where applicable.

Perform pre-drive checks and prepare vehicle checklists according to agreed standards to ensure that the vehicle (s) is/ae safe, reliable and conforms to statutory regulations and company’s standards.

Practice Journey Management in the execution of duties and responsibilities.

Work with the Operations Department in the maintenance, inspection and reclassifying of vehicles (where applicable) and any other Transport Department Activities in order to ensure that vehicles are in a rentable condition according to Company’s standards.

Collaborating with the respective team/s in order to ensure that the Company’s objectives are attained in Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) as well as compliance with those of the clients’.

Undertake assignments and perform other related duties as assigned.
