Senior Accounts Clerk

RSD Cargo Transit Inc. is a leading cargo haulage and logistics company dedicated to delivering reliable and efficient transportation solutions. We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Senior Accounts Clerk to join our team in a fast-paced logistics and transportation environment. The ideal candidate will support the day-to-day financial operations, including data entry, invoicing, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

 Experience in the position of an Accounts Clerk or in a similar role, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry

 Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial recordkeeping

Good understanding of basic accounting principles and practices

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

High level of integrity and confidentiality

Education & Experience:

• Minimum of a Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field or have completed CAT program.

• 3-4 years of relevant experience

·         Process and record daily financial transactions (accounts payable and receivable)

·         Prepare, verify, and issue invoices for freight, transport services, and related charges

·         Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies

·         Maintain up-to-date financial records in accounting systems

·        Maintain Tracking and Control Systems

·         Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting including the submission of VAT, PAYE and NIS.

·         Follow up on outstanding customer payments and respond to vendor inquiries

·         Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements

·        Support internal audits and provide required documentation

·        Maintain filing systems for financial documents

·        Collaborate with logistics, operations, and customer service teams for billing and payment accuracy
