Pacific Rim Constructors (Guyana) Inc. (PRC) is a leading construction management and equipment rental company serving clients in the oil and gas and construction industries. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and results-driven Project Manager to join our team.
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading construction projects from initiation through completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual, quality, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will oversee project planning, resource allocation, stakeholder communication, risk management, and overall project execution while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence.
Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
Have a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in the construction industry, including civil and structural works, with at least five (5) years’ experience managing medium to large-scale construction projects.
Previous experience in the Oil and Gas industry will be considered a distinct advantage.
Demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Possess excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Have sound knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, procurement, contract administration, and risk management.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
Be capable of working independently, managing multiple priorities, and meeting strict project deadlines.
Possess a strong understanding of construction standards, safety regulations, and quality management systems.
Lead and manage construction projects from planning through successful completion.
Develop comprehensive project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
Coordinate project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure project objectives are achieved.
Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule, budget, quality, and safety targets.
Ensure compliance with all applicable engineering standards, company policies, regulatory requirements, and client specifications.
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize operational and financial impacts.
Manage project costs, approve expenditures, and oversee change management processes.
Conduct project meetings, progress reviews, and stakeholder briefings.
Prepare and present weekly and monthly project performance reports to senior management and clients.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and safety throughout all project activities.
Ensure all project documentation is maintained accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
Support business development efforts by assisting with project planning, estimates, and client engagement when required.
