Description
The Six-Sided Drill Operator will operate the PT6-1325 six-sided drilling machine to accurately drill, bore and machine cabinet and furniture components.The machine can process components approximately 180–2800 mm in length, 35–1200 mm in width and up to 50 mm in thickness, with upper and lower drilling systems. Requirements
* Previous CNC drilling experience preferred.
* Furniture or cabinet manufacturing experience advantageous.
* Ability to read technical drawings.
* Good measurement and mathematical skills.
* Basic computer skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work accurately under production deadlines.
Responsibilities
*Operate and set up the six-sided drilling machine.
* Load components correctly.
* Verify component dimensions.
* Review drawings and drilling specifications.
* Select the correct CNC drilling program.
* Confirm hole positions before production.
* Operate upper and lower drilling units.
* Monitor vertical and horizontal drilling.
* Ensure correct drills and tooling are installed.
* Conduct first-piece inspections.
* Check hole diameter, depth and position.
* Check edge distances.
* Ensure components are drilled according to specifications.
* Identify missing or incorrect drilling operations.
* Prevent mixing of different components.
* Label completed components.
* Use scanning/identification equipment where required.
* Maintain production records.
* Monitor drill-tool condition.
* Replace tooling as authorised.
* Keep machine and work area clean.
* Perform routine operator maintenance.
* Report machine faults and errors.
* Meet production targets.
* Follow all safety procedure
