Description

The Cleaner will be responsible for ensuring that all areas are clean, sanitized, and maintained according to health and safety regulations. This role is critical to maintaining a safe environment for food production, and adherence to cleanliness standards is of great importance.

Requirements

Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a cleaning or janitorial role.

Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow instructions from supervisors.

Knowledge: Basic understanding of food safety standards and sanitation procedures.

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, and lift objects throughout the shift

Attention to Detail: Cleans thoroughly to ensure no areas are missed and all health standards are met.

Working Hours: 8am - 5pm

Responsibilities

  • Sanitization and Cleaning:

    • Clean and sanitize all areas of the meat processing facility, including production areas, floors, walls, and waste disposal units.

    • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards to prevent contamination.

    • Clean office spaces and bathrooms

    • Equipment Maintenance:

    • Regularly disinfect high-contact surfaces such as counters, switches, and machinery handles.

    • Report any damaged or malfunctioning cleaning equipment to the supervisor promptly.

    • Ensure that all tools and equipment used are properly cleaned and stored after each shift.

  • Waste Management:

    • Collect and dispose of waste materials according to facility protocols and local regulations.

    • Safely handle and dispose of waste materials, particularly those containing meat products.

  • Inventory Control:

    • Maintain an adequate stock of cleaning supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE).

    • Report low inventory levels to the supervisor for timely replenishment.

  • Compliance:

    • Follow strict health, safety, and environmental policies, adhering to all relevant meat processing guidelines.

    • Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on best practices and regulatory changes.
