Description

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to provide support to our Finance Department.

Requirements

●      Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.

●      Proven experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, and investment tracking.

●      Strong proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel and financial management software.

●      Knowledge of Guyanese financial regulations and practices.

●      Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

●      Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

●      Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.

●      Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

●      Experience in program financial management is preferred.

Responsibilities

●      Conduct thorough financial analysis of women-owned SMEs to assess their financial health and readiness for investment.

●      Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and profitability to identify areas for improvement.

●      Prepare financial reports and provide recommendations based on analysis findings.

●      Monitor the utilization of funds by supported SMEs, ensuring compliance with program guidelines.

●      Track and report on the performance of investments made through the Bankability Fund.

●      Assess the financial impact of investments on the supported businesses.

●      Provide financial guidance and support to women entrepreneurs, including budgeting, financial planning, and investment management.

●      Collaborate with SMEs to develop financial strategies aligned with their business goals.

●      Offer recommendations to optimize financial processes and increase profitability.

●      Identify financial risks associated with the program and develop strategies to mitigate them.

●      Work closely with the Risk Mitigation team to ensure the financial stability of SMEs.

●      Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and investment activities.

●      Prepare regular financial reports for program stakeholders, including the Steering Committee.

●      Assist in the preparation of financial documentation for auditing purposes.

●      Ensure that supported SMEs adhere to financial compliance requirements, including tax regulations and legal obligations.

●      Collaborate with the Business Support Specialist to maintain accountability in financial matters.

●      Assist in the delivery of financial literacy training to women entrepreneurs.
