Our client operates a chain of Quick Service Restaurants countrywide. We invite you to apply for the vacant role of Assistant Production Supervisor. This role will support the Production Supervisor in ensuring efficient, high-quality food production. In addition, the role will support the oversight of daily operations, help to maintain food safety and quality standards, and ensure production targets are met. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at motivating a team in a fast-paced environment.
Diploma or High School education
Previous experience in a restaurant, commissary kitchen, or food production environment required.
At least one year of leadership or supervisory experience would be advantageous.
Strong understanding of food safety standards and kitchen operations.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
Daily Operations
Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing daily production activities.
Monitor production timelines to ensure required food items are prepared and delivered on schedule.
Support inventory management by tracking stock levels, rotating supplies, and reporting shortages.
Help maintain kitchen flow and troubleshoot operational issues as they arise.
Team Leadership
Assist in scheduling, task assignments, and shift coverage to optimize productivity.
Participate in onboarding and training new team members.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and safety-focused work environment.
Food Quality & Safety
Ensure all food is prepared according to required standards.
Monitor adherence to sanitation, and food-handling regulations.
Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness and compliance to food safety standards.
Administrative Support
Assist in maintaining production logs, temperature records, and compliance documents.
Support ordering and vendor communication when needed.
Contribute to process improvements.
Additional Requirements
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
Comfortable working in hot or cold fast-paced kitchen environments.
