The Terminal Superintendent is responsible for managing the Providence Terminal with respect to receipt, storage, handling and distribution of Guyoil’s products, ensuring that the operations are undertaken and accomplished timely, cost effective and in conformity with established safety and quality management systems.
Education: First degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Supply Chain Management
Experience: Professional with a minimum of five (5) years in terminal operations or similar exposure
Professional and Personal Attributes: Delegation, effective communicator with leadership abilities, flexible and adaptive, solutions oriented and safety conscious
Accounts for staff, stock and quality control through continuous training and development of direct reports, verification and accurate reporting of stock distribution and balances, product testing and equipment and machinery integrity
Ensure adherence and continuous improvement of the system control of terminal’s activities including work in close liaison with security to safeguard stock and assets
Ensure that the inventory of all the terminal assets and equipment are maintained and serviced to allow safe and efficient function through inspection and liaison with the engineering section for scheduling for equipment and machinery
Manage discharge and loading of tanker/trawler, lorry/drum ensuring correctness in product, quantity, quality and safety adherence to established management systems and SOPs
Ensure statements and other related reports are prepared and submitted within timeline; report all anomalies encountered immediately. Recommend control measures to mitigate product loss or any other deficiency observed.
Schedule and apportion work among employees of the terminal to ensure efficient utilization of labour, equipment and materials.
Collaborate with Inventory and Procurement Manager to plan, develop and implement methods and procedures to improve the operation and minimize operating costs
