Procurement Clerk

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Clerk with experience or knowledge in the construction industry. The successful candidate will support procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services essential for our construction projects.

• Minimum of 5 CXC subjects including Mathematics and English

• Certificate or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)

• Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and general construction operations is essential

• Previous experience in procurement or purchasing within a construction company will be an asset

• Strong negotiation, organisational, and record-keeping skills

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

• Updating Fleetio software with all procurement activities and uploading documentation for vehicle registration, insurance, and fitness renewals.

• Liaising with both local and overseas vendors for the procurement of goods and services.

• Coordinating deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate receipt of goods from point of procurement until delivery to the project. Verifying supplier invoices and delivery documentation before processing for payment.

• Managing and filing procurement records digitally and physically.

• Monitoring inventory levels and generating restock alerts when needed.

• Participating in procurement-related audits and performance reviews.

• Supporting logistics for imported goods and liaising with customs brokers or freight agents.

• From time to time, you will be required to make purchases in Georgetown and surrounding areas on behalf of the company and ensure timely delivery to the appropriate departments.
