We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to manage and process payroll functions accurately and on time.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • ACCA certified, Diploma/Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).

  • At least 2 years of experience in payroll or accounting.

  • Knowledge of Guyana’s payroll regulations and statutory deductions.

  • Strong computer skills (Excel, payroll software experience is a plus).

  • High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

  • Good organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

  • Five subjects CXC including Maths, English & Principles of Accounts

  • Two references

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process weekly/monthly payroll for all employees.

  • Maintain payroll records and employee files with confidentiality.

  • Ensure compliance with Guyana’s tax laws, NIS, and other statutory deductions.

  • Verify attendance, hours worked, and leave records with department supervisors.

  • Handle payroll queries and provide timely resolutions.

  • Generate payroll reports for management as required.
