We are seeking a versatile and proactive Operations Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys multitasking, and can seamlessly switch between customer service, administrative duties, and operational tasks. You will be a point of contact for customers, handle package processing, assist with cashier duties, and provide support across different roles as needed.
Experience: 1+ year in customer service, shipping/logistics, or retail (preferred but not mandatory).
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using shipping software, QuickBooks system, and social media platforms.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Adaptability: Ability to pivot between tasks and learn new processes quickly.
Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and time management.
Customer Service
Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, social media, and in-person (walk-ins).
Provide accurate information on shipping rates, delivery times, and company services.
Resolve customer complaints or escalate issues when necessary.
Always maintain a friendly and professional demeanour.
Shipping & Logistics Support
Input package details into the company’s shipping software.
Verify shipping labels and documentation for accuracy.
Assist with sorting, organizing, and preparing outgoing/incoming shipments.
Cashier & Administrative Duties
Process payments (cash, card, digital) for shipping services and retail purchases (if applicable).
Maintain a balanced cash drawer and generate daily transaction reports.
Assist with basic office tasks (filing, data entry, inventory checks).
