The plant operator is responsible for operating pump to load and unload product to vessels and tankers.
Post primary education with ability to observe meters and log data.
Ability to work in strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and safety protocols.
Work with instruction and guidance from multifaced team.
Attention to details and accuracy in information recording.
Read log to obtain information concerning pumping operations during previous shift.
Observe flowmeters, pressure gauges and fluid levels to ensure that pumps and equipment are in good working condition. Inform Supervisor of discrepancies.
Take sample of fuel products from storage tanks for testing.
Ensure blank caps are installed in appropriate position on lines to stop of undesired liquids and prevent contamination of products.
Climb storage tanks to check ullage gauge during pimping operations, set gauges and close ullage at appropriate intervals.
Read ampere meter to ensure that pump is working and motor is not overloaded.
Oil and grease pumps and associated equipment to maintain working condition.
