1. To prepare meals as per request made by inpatients relevant to sickness or disease condition (cyclic
menu followed).
2. To prepare meals for hospital canteen.
3. To prepare meals according to meal orders placed, under instructions by the Dietitian.
4. To assist in the serving of meals to patients, from kitchen location.
5. To up-keep all sanitary rules and regulations at all times.
6. To ensure food items are labeled appropriately when purchased before storage.
Must have prior expierence in same field will be an asset
Must have a valid Food handler's certificate.
Maintain stock records of food items purchased and utilized daily.
Maintain other records as required and relevant to the Dietary department.
To ensure that kitchen hygiene is maintained at all times.
To ensure portion sizes are correct when serving meals.
To ensure hygiene rules are followed at all times.
To ensure frequent and proper garbage disposal.
Make requisitions for items needed in the kitchen on a daily/weekly basis.
To ensure meals are prepared and served in a timely manner.
Must attend meetings and classes as requested for the sake of employee education.
