Description

The project preparator follows projects and assists the project managers in their daily tasks and report progress/any issue.

Requirements

  • Diploma / Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication, Welding, Industrial Maintenance, or a similar technical field.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BEng) in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
    This is common when the job includes:

    • Reviewing drawings and MTO

    • Understanding piping classes and specs

    • Supporting QA/QC and fabrication workflows

    • Coordinating between project, quality, logistics, and site teams

    • 2–3 years in fabrication, mechanical construction, piping, or project coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Operation - Prepares the worksite :

  • Check the drawings design

  • Check MTO compare with drawings and piping class.

  • Check availability of materials.

  • Check the painting specs and stock.

  • Transmit the Fabrication Dossier to all parties for signature and place in PM desk.

  • Check the material order / last MTO (fabrication and erection material, hydrotest material).

  • Organizes worksite layout:

  • Give Fabrication dossier to Fabrication team and Quality team once material arrived

  • Assist the material reception with Quality and Fabrication Team

  • Follow fabrication process to improve lead time, take picture at each step.

  • Monitor the production.

  • Establishes the worksite monitoring:

  • Pack and tag all the items, take a picture after painting

  • Plan delivery with Client and the Logistic team

  • Organizes worksite withdrawal:

  • File all documents and pictures on the folder project. (Engineering/Dimensional control/ Quality/ Waybill/Pictures...)

  • Potential site visits:

  • to supervise operational teams.

  • Health Safety Environment Quality :

  • Applies the agency's HSEQ policy and goals.

  • Makes the necessary measures to minimize risks jeopardizing Quality, Safety and the Environment.

  • Applies the instructions as regards compliance with HSEQ rules.

  • Supports the SSEQ system by taking part in discussions.

  • Proposes and carries out improvement actions and corrective and/or preventive actions.

  • Involvement: Undertakes to follow the training necessary to develop his or her skills.

  • May be required to train new hires.
